THE LIFTING OF GOVERNMENT MANDATES

As from Monday 4th April 2022, the Clubs Committee is no longer required to enforce their resolution of 22nd November 2021

"that the Club as of 3rd December 2021 becomes a double vaccinated hospitality venue to gain entry".

At that time the Committee had no choice but to adopt the double vaccination stance, or close, and the general membership had no choice but to accept and support their resolution.

Coupled with Traffic Light Restrictions it has been a very challenging four months for Committee, Staff and Members, but combined, we have managed to keep the club alive, in good heart and restoring growth as Traffic Light Restrictions allow, and hopefully we can start to see some light at the end of the tunnel, and a sincere thank you to all members that have supported the Club under these restrictions.

However, the Committee are rightfully cautious about dropping the resolution of 22nd November 2021 on Monday 4th April, but have scheduled a meeting for Tuesday 19th April to further discuss.

This will allow time to see how Covid is tracking in our community, but more importantly it will allow time for Member feedback, as, unlike last year the general membership will now have the opportunity to have their say on whether or not the Club should remain a Double Vaccinated Venue for Entry, or to simply revert back to where we were prior Covid.

You can either respond to this newsletter with you thoughts to lee@tgacitz.co.nz or  indicate your preference to Staff or Committee when next at the Club, keeping in mind that the Health and Safety of the Members and Staff must remain a priority.

So, until we receive Member feedback and the Committee meets on Tuesday 19th April to digest the feedback, the Club remains a "Double Vaccinated Hospitality Venue"

Lee Davis, Chief Executive Officer.
