Covid Emergency Alert - To All Members

I have just been informed by the Ministry of Health that we have had a positive Covid -19 case visit the Club between the hours of 12 noon and 8pm Friday 10th December, primarily to play Housie.

The Ministry have advised that we can remain open, but any staff working on that day must be immediately tested and self isolate until results are received.

This leaves us with not enough staff to run any aspect of the Clubs operation so we have been forced to close for at least the next few days.

If you were at the Club between the hours of 12 noon and 8pm Friday 10th December, in particular playing Housie, please get tested and self isolate until you have received your results.

The paragraph below is from the Ministry of Health...

As of this morning, the Tauranga Citizen’s Club has been added as a Location of Interest on the Ministry of Heath’s website: COVID-19: Contact tracing locations of interest | Ministry of Health NZ

The advice for those who were present here on the 10th December 2021 from 12:00PM to 8:00PM as per the website is:

“Self-isolate, test immediately and on day 5 after you were exposed at this location of interest. Further isolation and testing requirements will be provided by Public Health.

Record your visit online or call Healthline so our contact tracers can get in touch.”

We now have a link for all of your patrons to add themselves as CLOSE contacts on the Ministry of Health website. This is so Healthline can follow up with them regarding isolation and testing advice, and also a daily check in to make sure everyone is healthy, well and has everything the need in order to isolate appropriately.

Here is the link: Privacy Policy | Location of Interest visit form (covid19.govt.nz)

If patrons prefer to call up to add themselves, please get them to call HEALTHLINE: 0800 611 116.

Thank you
